چکیده

Starting from the dipole representation of small-x evolution we implement the running of the coupling in a self-consistent way. This results in an evolution equation for the dipole density in Borel (b) space. We show that the Borel image of the dipole density is analytic in the neighbourhood of b = 0 and that it is equal to the BFKL solution at b = 0. We study the Borel singularity structure of the dipole cascade emanating from a virtual photon at small x and nd a branch cut on the positive b-semiaxis starting at b = 1== 0. This indicates the presence of 1=Q 2 power corrections to the small-x structure functions. Finally we present numerical results in the context of D.I.S.

Running coupling at small momenta, renormalization schemes and renormalons

We suggest a method of summing the perturbation theory (PT) asymptotic series related to infrared (IR) renormalons in QCD by using special renormalization schemes in which the running coupling can be integrated over the region of small momenta. For the method to work, one should consider higher order PT corrections to the standard bubble-chain diagrams. High-order corrections allow one to choos...

Estimating higher order perturbative coefficients using Borel transform

A new method of estimating higher order perturbative coefficients is discussed. It exploits the rapid, asymptotic growth of perturbative coefficients and the information on the singularities in the complex Borel plane. A comparison with other methods is made in several Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) expansions. Typeset using REVTEX 1 The ordinary perturbative expansions in weak coupling constant ...

We recapitulate the method which resums the truncated perturbation series of a physical observable in a way which takes into account the structure of the leading infrared renormalon. We apply the method to the Gross-Llewellyn Smith (GLS) sum rule. By confronting the obtained result with the experimentally extracted GLS value, we determine the value of the QCD coupling parameter which turns out ...

Field-Theory Amplitudes as Resurgent Functions

A series of informal seminars at graduate-student level on the subject of coupling dependence in quantum field theory, with an elementary introduction to the notion of resurgent function that forms the appropriate framework for the coupling dependence of strictly renormalizable theories. While most of the discussion is pedagogical, there are also a few things for the expert: we demonstrate, by ...

Power corrections to the process γ ∗ γ → ππ in the running coupling method

Power-suppressed corrections coming from the end-point integration regions in the amplitude of the process γγ → ππ at large Q and small squared centerof-mass energy W 2 are calculated in the QCD hard-scattering approach where the amplitudes factorize in a hard perturbatively calculable part and a generalized distribution amplitude. The running coupling method and the technique of infrared renor...
